Ballard Works

An artists' work space building with nineteen individual studios and two storefronts for art-centered businesses, near the Ballard Locks.

BallardWorks is a participant in the monthly Ballard ARTwalk. It has facilities for exhibitions, literary, visual, and performing arts events, and celebratory activities. There are opportunities for artists to create and take classes at the Sev Shoon Arts Center and at private individual studios. BallardWorks is committed to community outreach and involvement in all of the arts.

All receptions are free and open to the public during the Ballard
ArtWalk, from 6-9 pm. In addition, the private studios of the BallardWorks
artists will be available for touring on the second Saturday of each month through
December 2009.

BallardWorks presents new work by its 18 artists Saturday, May 9, 2009,  6:00-9:00 PM, during the Ballard ARTwalk.

This year BallardWorks will have scheduled exhibitions during two ARTwalks: May and November.

May's show will include paintings by Joan Stuart Ross: "A New Weave of Repertoire,"
partially funded by a 4Culture Individual Projects Grant.

November's event will be a festive pre-Holiday Open House with a special exhibition by BallardWorks artists.
