Barbara Bruch and Christine Eagon
| Barbara Bruch has traveled for many
years to Great Britain and Norway in search for answers
to the mystery of ancient carved stones, stone circles,
runes, and contemporary crop circles. Her research and
art have been greatly influences by these experiences.
Christine Eagon has also traveled to many power places
of ancient England taking pictures with her plastic
Holga camera. When Christine and Barbara first met they
found that they were both going to the same places and
seeking the same answers. After Christine visited the
Royal Mail in Bath, England she was inspire to create
unique visual chronicles of her travels. Over the years
Christine and Barbara have been making and mailing their
postal art to one another.
Barbara and Christine have combined Barbara’s
research, artwork and Christine’s postal art journey
photographs for this thought provoking exhibition known
as Postal odyssey.
Barbara will also be exhibiting some of her paintings
and Christine will be showing a related body of work
titled “To the Tor”, which
are black and white, selenium toned silver gelatin prints
of the Glastonbury Tor, Stonehenge, and other power
places of ancient England.

Doughlas Remy
| Doughlas Remy comes from a background
in art history, linguistics, computer graphic design,
and abstract painting. In the mid-nineties, he discovered
the tactile joys of working with real objects (as opposed
to virtual) and began practicing the French art of assemblage.
Many of the objects that Doughlas incorporates in his
work are items that have been discounted, recycled,
or discarded. In addition to these objects he also used
a variety of media, including inks, oils, acrylics,
watercolors, gold and silver leaf, paper, metal foils,
fused glass, plaster, semiprecious stones and scrap
metal. He then coats and binds the ensemble in layers
of epoxy resins.
