Ballard ARTwalk 7/12/08
Artists' Reception 6-9 pm

BallardWorks presents prints by Emily Gherard and Kim Van Someren, who have been sharing ideas and techniques since they met at the University of Washington Graduate program in Printmaking. In this series of work, titled “Overgrowth,” they have collaborated, working simultaneously on the same prints. These monotypes are the result of the two artists’ shared vision.

The title “Overgrowth” refers to the often awkward transition that an artist makes when beginning a new series of work. Also on view will be new individual work by both artists.

The private studios of the 20 artist members of BallardWorks will be open to the public.
